Meet Dr. Wendy Batista-Rodriguez, DDS

Founder of Batista Dental Health

Dr. Wendy Batista Rodriguez carries forward a 40-year legacy of trusted, patient-centered dentistry in Fort Myers. Inspired by her childhood in Cuba, where limited access to care often meant preventable tooth loss, she built her career around helping patients understand the connection between oral and whole-body health.

She earned her biology degree from Florida International University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Touro College of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors as part of its inaugural class. She went on to complete a rigorous residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, treating complex restorative cases, extractions, root canals, dentures, and facial trauma. Since then, she has continued to advance her skills in implants, laser dentistry, and modern restorative techniques.

Patients know Dr. Batista Rodriguez for her gentle approach, calming chairside manner, and even her habit of humming while she works. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to serving the diverse Fort Myers community and is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association. Outside the office, she enjoys the beach, racquet sports, long walks, and caring for community animals with her husband of 12 years and their rescued cat, Tuxi.

about the team at batista dental health

Care rooted in genuine connection

For us, great dentistry is about relationships. We take time to understand you, earn your trust, and provide care that improves your oral and overall wellness.

By prioritizing open communication and advanced tools, we help you feel confident and supported in your dental care.

Innovation
you can feel

We invest in modern tools like CBCT, iTero, and Periolase to make treatment gentler, faster, and more precise. We combine this with a personal approach and clear guidance, so you can experience greater comfort and confidence in your oral care.

We are honored
to serve you

We value our patients highly, which is why we never overbook. Every visit includes at least an hour with Dr. Batista-Rodriguez or the hygienist. That time lets us listen, review images together, answer questions, and design a plan that fits your unique needs.

Comfort
comes first

Our space feels calm and welcoming — with soft lighting, quiet rooms, and a friendly team that knows your name. Our proven technique for pain-free injections and small comforts help reduce anxiety, ease treatment, and make every visit feel safer, smoother, and more relaxing.

Transparency,
always

You’ll get clear pricing, step-by-step plans, and diagnoses supported by x-rays and photos. We explain options in simple terms, share pros and cons, and answer questions, so you can choose confidently — no pressure, no upselling. Just honesty.

Dear valued patients,

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Wendy Batista Rodriguez to our practice and to the Fort Myers community. As I retire and begin a new chapter, I am grateful to leave you in such caring and capable hands.

Dr. Batista brings a warm, empathetic approach and is dedicated to continuing the personalized, high-quality care you’ve known for the past 40 years. She graduated from the inaugural class of Touro College of Dental Medicine, completed a General Practice Residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, and has practiced for the past four years while expanding her skills through continuing education. Outside the office, she and her husband enjoy the outdoors, racquet sports, and caring for their rescued cat, Tuxi.

As I reflect on four decades of caring for you and your families, I feel immense gratitude. It has been a privilege to be your dentist, and I will always cherish the trust and relationships we’ve built. Thank you for your loyalty and kindness. I hope you will join me in warmly welcoming Dr. Wendy Batista Rodriguez as she leads the next chapter of our practice.
